Swahid Kanak Lata (SKL) Hostel :

Swahid Kanak Lata was an Indian independence movement activist who was shot dead by the Indian Imperial police of British Raj while leading a procession bearing the national flag during Quit India Movement. Her martyrdom inspired many of others to join the freedom movement and she became a symbol of courage and patriotism in Assam. A girls’ hostel of Cotton University named after her.
